Pricing
My standard fee for a wedding / vow renewal ceremony in England or Wales is £750.
For weddings based in and around London this is likely to be the final figure you pay, but for anything further afield there may be additional costs related to travel and accommodation.
Additional costs will depend upon the location of the wedding, but all fees will be finalised and agreed before any booking is confirmed, ensuring there are no unexpected surprises down the line.

Immediately
At the initial point of enquiry we'll set up an informal commitment-free online chat (maybe 15-30 mins), to discuss the core details of your wedding and ensure we can all work together.
I'll start by confirming a few practical details such as availability and cost, before opening the floor for questions and giving you a chance to find out exactly who I am and what I offer.
After the call you'll go away and discuss things, and if it turns out I'm not the right man for your vision (it can happen!), I'll point you in the direction of some other celebrants who may be a better match, and we'll leave it there.
But if you decide to go ahead and book a Done Right Ceremony, I'll ask you for a 10% non-refundable deposit to secure the date, ensuring no other couples can book me for your big day, and then the fun bit starts...
Before the day
At our first proper planning meeting we'll really dig into who you are and what you want. How did you meet; what do you mean to each other; why are you marrying; how do you want the day to feel; who else will be involved...
I won't lie, it can feel a little intense at times, but trust me when I say it's also enormous fun and 100% worth it.
I'll then go away and start piecing together your ceremony, leaving you to consider the personal touches such as your vows, music and readings. We'll keep in touch as everything develops, and likely have a couple of follow-up calls, until about a month before the big day when we have a wedding ceremony that you're 100% happy with.
Lastly, we'll aim to have a rehearsal before the day to make sure everyone knows their cues, ideally in-person and ideally in the venue, but an online walk-through can be just as effective.
On the day
Finally the big day has arrived, and you've got enough on your plate without worrying about the ceremony as well. Luckily you booked Done Right.
As a general rule I'll arrive at the venue at least an hour before the ceremony so I can meet key players and check everything is set up as we want it, before ensuring all the readers, musicians, circus acts and pets know their cues.
I will then lead your amazing, personal, beautiful wedding ceremony from start to finish, telling your love story through words agreed by you in advance, before finally declaring you married in front of all of your favourite people!
Once the ceremony is over, I'll make sure any precious items we used are safely secured before saying my farewells and slinking away into the night like Batman, leaving you and your guests to enjoy the party.
After the ceremony
Once you've come back down to earth, you'll receive a beautiful presentation copy of your wedding script to cherish forever, allowing you to relive the magic whenever you want.
Whether you choose to revisit the script on your anniversary every year; frame the vows and hang them on your wall; or leave this copy in the downstairs loo for guests to read is entirely up to you.
Charitable donation
As a Humanist, it's important to me to "pass it on" and help others in need, so I will always donate 5% of my total fee to a charity of your choosing.
If you can't decide on a charity then I will choose one that speaks to me, and where possible one that has come to mind as a result of my conversations with either you or your guests.
What I don't do!
Last but not least, please note that I am a celebrant and not a wedding planner, so please don't ask me to choose the colour theme, collect your dress from the tailor, book the musicians, or handle the catering. I'm rubbish at all of these things!
My role is to make the ceremony as memorable as possible.
